SEEKING A FISCAL SPONSOR?
For small grassroots projects with budgets under $20,000, check out New Society Educational Foundation. NSEF runs similarly to Self-Education Foundation. They take 5% of processed donations, sending the rest back to your organization's bank account (rather than processing income and expenses for you). NSEF works with groups that are clearly groups, not individual projects, have an organizational bank account, and use nonviolent means to work for social justice.
Small activist start-ups may also want to apply to NSEF for a grant of up to $500. To do so, please include your budget (income and expenses), and proof that your organization has a bank account (a voided check).
